Road to Mountains

After having been away from motorcycle riding for nearly 10 years, in October of 2001 I purchased a Nighthawk 750 and rejoined the "biker" fraternity. Mostly I bought the bike to use to commute to my old job in downtown Washington, DC to take advantage of the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes. While in Virginia, I did take a few trips into the mountains in the Eastern U.S. as well as many short "day rides" to destinations in Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia. Some of the adventures are chronicled in the 2002 and 2003 sections to the left.

In January of 2004 I moved to Ohio. I grew up in Ohio, and have always been a Buckeye at heart. I'm really looking forward to riding to some old, familiar haunts as well as exploring some new, uncharted (by me) territory. Time permitting, I plan to describe some of these adventures on these pages. I hope that you enjoy my descriptions of these journeys and that you are inspired to do some exploring of your own!
